While out walking my dog.

Night Race

The last Kart race of this season.
It was frigid!! By 10:00 p.m. my body was chilled to the bone. A 75 minute ride home and it took 45 of that before I pulled out of my near hypothermia.
It was worth it!!

Our beloved Coco had to be put down last night. The poor little guy had developed a brain tumor. He was mainly my wife's. Those two were practically inseparable. Patty's heart is broken.

It was one of the hardest decisions but we had no choice.

Chase will miss him too and he was my "Little Buddy".

So sad we are... he was not even two years old and money is tight so I cannot buy Patty another pup. Miniature Pinn's are pricey little canines.

It's so unfair to my wife. She does nothing but help every one else. She spends most of her own life taking care of her sick mother and when she's not doing that she is taking care of the rest of us. Coco was her pride and joy and it's killing me to see her go through this pain.

So long Little Buddy. We love you!!

Lucky Shot

Taken from our boat on the Hudson River.
Surprisingly this came out as the boat was cruising at 40 mph.

Adirondack Karting Association

These youngsters can really get up on the wheel.

I have been given the opportunity to photograph their races/heats from the infield and it's exciting. Some of these carts can really move. There's also some danger as I witnessed and photographed a fairly hard hit after one cart spun and another slammed into it. The boy was unharmed but it was a scary moment.

Some of these kids go on to race on Dirt Tracks... I've been given a photographers position at one of our local tracks. Devil's Bowl Speedway. They recently lost there photog so I applied. It's more of a freelance thing with a booth available where my photos will be sold to fans. The season is winding down now with only two weekends remaining, but I'll be there every Sunday night next season.

Illumination

The southern basin of Lake George.

The perspective is from a man made scenic walkway that is constructed of concrete. It's round and approx. 30' in diameter. It's part of the boardwalk yet it's out of the way from the pedestrian traffic. I take many photos from here and ironically I was just hired by a young couple to shoot their wedding. The ceremony will take place at this very spot... next summer.

Sunset

This is just a few miles from my house. I was sitting in my recliner when I happened to look out the window. The sky was incredible.

Funny... where I live if I drive east I will be smack in the middle of rolling farm pastures, west I will be on the Interstate in 5 minutes, north brings me to rolling suburbia and every mall store and factory outlet you can think of plus tourist attractions galore, south will lead to Saratoga Springs, Albany and eventually NYC. All this from a small village on the Hudson River.

Water Dog

My Goldie, Chase, doing what she loves best. If we're near the water there is no keeping her out. She'll actually lie down in 8 to 10 inches and she can entertain herself for hours looking for stuff under the surface. She's even learned how to hold her breath while foraging for whatever goodies she can find on the bottom. It's comical watching her, but if she gets bored she will want me to throw sticks endlessly. The one she has in the photo I threw a good 100 ft. out.... no problem.... I think she could swim the English Channel.
